Gooptars are a species of extraterrestrial placental mammals, native to the planet Gooptonia in the Garon Galaxy (known by humans as the Andromeda Galaxy). Having evolved from mammalian, crocodile-like creatures that split off from most Gooptonian mammals around 70 million years ago, gooptars possess more advanced technology than human do for the most part, due to their access to magical abilities as well. Gooptars are the sole living representatives of the family Unipedactidae. In terms of taxonomic hierarchy, gooptars are classified as such:
